To be honest I throttled around a lot during my testing. I wanted to pedal, and I certainly did sometimes. But on a long, heavy bike like this where you’re spending a bit more mental energy keeping track of where your cargo and passengers are, having the throttle is a really nice option.

I bought my G30-Cargo nearly two years ago now. It took a while to get used to, as like all cargo e-bikes it's heavy, but once you get used to it it's great fun. I've been using it to go to work and to take and pick up two (small) kids from school regularly now; the kids absolutely love it, and I do too. I live in a hilly part of the East Coast, and the motor is definitely needed. I have a 250W motor... it is just enough for big hills with two kids on the back, with some effort from pedalling of course.
The throttle is a must for rear hub motors as the motor only kicks in after a small delay when pedalling. When at busy intersections on a hill you don't want to wait for the sensor to detect the pedal motion before the motor kicks in, you need the power right away. The throttle on this ebike works perfectly and I only use it for those situations. Indeed, I would now consider cargo ebikes without a throttle as unsafe. The brakes on this bike are top-notch, I go down steep hills with two kids on the back and never had issues. The brake pads do understandably need replacing often if they're heavily used like mine (I replace mine approx. every six months).
The quality of this bike is remarkable for its price. I only have one minor complaint, that the rear rack which the kids hold on to was a nightmare to fit.. I got help and in the end it worked but I feel that part could have been engineered better.
In addition to a superb bike, I also want to complement and thank all the support team. Every time I've had an issue (e.g., broken spokes or I'm not sure what brake pads to replace) they tell me what parts are needed and always respond very quickly. So even when the bike is out of warranty, they will help guide you get it fixed (at your expense of course) and I appreciate that. Currently I have a motor connection issue after replacing a wheel, probably due to my mishandling, and I'm working with a repairer to fix it, using suggestions from the Eunorau team.
Overall, highly recommended for anyone seeking a bike to do regular short trips.

Just upgEunoraued to a reflective padded seat with springs. Would prefer the headlight would follow the wheel instead of remaining in place when the additional front rack systems are added. Overall happy with purchase. You really do not realize how bad the infrastructure is until you cross bridges on narrow sidewalks or with cars traveling by bicycle.

Basically - I love it. But you really need to think about the tires and wheels. I tried a ride on flat terrain, with 1" (one inch) of melting snow. It was nearly impossible to do. I was riding a similar track to a Mt-Biker's trail (fat-tire, studded, twice or three times width of my track). The footprints of my tires were ridiculously thin. Turning was dangerous.
